Acura RL 2 / Honda Legend (chassis code KB1/KB2) is a mid-size sedan in production from 2004 to 2012. The pre-facelift model used chassis code KB1 and had a 3.5L engine paired to a 5-speed automatic transmission, while the post-facelift model used chassis code KB2 and had a 3.7L engine paired to a 6-speed automatic.
Standard on the RL 2 is Acura's SH-AWD all-wheel drive system. This system was the first in the industry that could vary torque not only from front to back but also side to side. Thereby, it has surprisingly good performance in incremental weather.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Acura RL 2 comes with double-wishbone suspensions at all four corners. This provides the good cornering performance and durability, though multi-link tends to be more tunable.
