Product Overview

Acura TLX (chassis code UB1/UB2/UB3/UB4) is an executive sedan in production from 2014 to 2017, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with an inline-4 and and a V6 engines that displaced 2.4 and 3.5 liters respectively.
Compared to the Gen4 Acura TL, which the TLX replaced, the new TLX lost the double-wishbone front suspension in favor of a cheaper MacPherson strut setup. The all-aluminum front subframe was lost in the process as well. At the same time, Acura made some efforts to make the TLX look more upscale to compensate.
The new 8-speed DCT and 9-speed ZF 9HP automatic transmissions are vast improvements over the previous, Honda-designed autos. Sadly, manual transmission is dropped.
Another bad news is that the base model now used an I4 engine.
