Product Overview

Lexus GS Mark II (chassis code S160) facelift is an executive sedan in production from 2000 to 2005. It was available with a range of V8 and inline-6 engines that displaced 3.0 to 4.3 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the most notable change is the introduction of the 3UZ-FE 4.3L naturally-aspirated V8 (in GS 430), which replaced the 1UZ-FE. There were some cosmetic changes, but nothing too significant.
Unfortunately, the 2JZ-GTE engine was still exclusive to Japan, where the GS II was marketed as Toyota Aristo.
Lexus has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Lexus GS II comes with double-wishbone suspensions at all four corners. This provides the good cornering performance and durability, though multi-link tends to be more tunable.
