Lexus IS Mark III (chassis code XE30) facelift is a compact executive sedan in production from 2016 to 2020, whereupon it received a second facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.5 liters.
Drivetrain-wise, this facelift didn't bring many notable changes. Still, Lexus "upgraded" the model number of IS 200t to IS 300. The V6 engines had a small power increase.
Another change comes in as the front and rear design, though it is very subtle. The interior was also updated to catch up with technological changes.
Lexus has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it. Utility-minded owners will have to keep in mind that the 306L (11cu-ft) cargo space may not be sufficient.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Lexus IS III comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear. Combined with RWD, this setup provides one of the best handling characteristics and tuning capabilities. Another plus is the small 10.4m (34.1ft) turning circle.
