Product Overview

Lexus ES Mark V (chassis code XV40) is a mid-size sedan in production from 2006 to 2012. It was available with a single V6 engines that displaced 3.5 liter as ES 350.
Compared to the Gen4 ES, the new ES 350 has a much more elegant, less quirky styling. With the venerable 2GR-FE 3.5L NA V6 engine paired to a U660E 6-speed automatic transmission, this generation of ES is the pinnacle of Lexus reliability. At the same time, however, we must admit that the XV40 Lexus ES is not so different from XV40 Toyota Aurion or Camry, essentially an exercise of "badge engineering".
This generation of ES continued to use MacPherson strut front suspensions, which is hardly surprising.
