Product Overview

Lexus LS Mark IV facelift (chassis code XF40) is a full-size luxury sedan in production from 2009 to 2012, whereupon it received a second facelift. It was available with two V8 engines that displaced 4.6 to 5.0 liters.
Drivetrain-wise, the hybrid LS 600h (L) remained the same as the pre-facelift model. The LS 460 received a small chassis and suspension upgrade to address the premature wear issues of front control arm bushings. Lexus also introduced the LS 460 Sport with upgraded brakes, forged wheels, and a body kit to go; it can also lock up the torque converter from the 2nd gear up, which improved the feel of power response at a potential cost of torque converter service life.
Naturally, the front and rear of the vehicle were updates, though changes are so minor that a side-by-side comparison is needed to spot the difference.
To many, this is the ultimate Gen4 LS.
Other goodies such as 0.26 Coefficient of Drag and full multi-link suspension setup are retained.
