Product Overview

Lexus LS 400 Mark II facelift (chassis code XF21) is a full-size luxury sedan in production from 1997 to 2000. It was powered by a single 1UZ-FE 4.0L naturally-aspirated V8 in its final factory tune paired to a 5-speed A650E automatic transmission. It was also called Toyota Celsior in Japan.
With this tune, Toyota added VVT-i variable valve timing to the 1UZ-FE. This resulted in a small power and notable torque increase. The engine was now also an interference engine.
Lexus has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.27 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Lexus LS 400 XF21 comes with double-wishbone suspensions at all four corners. This provides the good cornering performance and durability, though multi-link tends to be more tunable.
