Product Overview

Mercedes-Maybach S-class X222 is an ultra-luxury limousine in production from 2015 to 2018. Based on the W222 / V222 Mercedes S-class, it has the same powertrain of the corresponding models. In pre-facelift W222 form, this meant M278 4.7L bi-turbo V8 with 9G-TRONIC for the S500 and M279 6.0L bi-turbo V12 with 7G-TRONIC for the S600.
The S500 come with optional 4MATIC AWD. Both RWD and AWD versions of S500 Maybach uses Airmatic suspensions as standard, while the RWD model can be configured with Magic Body Control, MBC.
The S600 comes standard with MBC and is RWD only. There is an optional Pullman version with an even longer wheelbase and a different chassis code, VV222.
Mercedes-Benz has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.27 coefficient of drag to show for it.
