Product Overview

Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph is a full-size luxury sedan in production from 1998 to 2002. It was available with a single BMW-sourced M73 V12 engine that displaced 5.4 liters paired with ZF's 5HP30 5-speed automatic transmission to send power to the rear wheels.
Slotted to be the flagship of the storied English manufacturer, the Silver Seraph came out at a time of financial difficulties for the firm. Rather than developing its own, more efficient engine, Rolls-Royce decided to use BMW's naturally-aspirated M73 engine, which offered improved refinement and smoother power delivery. It was also the first V12 offered by Rolls-Royce after WW2.
Compared to its twin sister, the Bentley Arnage, the Silver Seraph is found by many to be more elegant. It boasts incredible interior appointments.
With a 17.4L/100km (13.5mpg) fuel "dis-economy", however, owners have to be prepared to pay for their "smiles-per-mile".
