Product Overview

Nissan Laurel 7 (code C35) is premium mid-size sedan in production from 1997 to 2002. It was available with a range of inline-6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 2.8 liters.
The Laurel 7 was related to the R34 Nissan Skyline. For the Laurel, Nissan did away with manual transmission and paired the otherwise interesting engines to an outdated 4-speed automatic.
Still, this handsome sedan could be purchased with RWD (unless AWD was optioned). It featured Nissan's famous RB25 engine, including the turbocharged RB25DET. Further, there was an RD28E diesel. These engines were robust, tunable, and easy to DIY on.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the C35 Laurel uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
