Product Overview

BMW 7 Series E65 LCI is the facelifted version of the E65 full-size luxury sedan in production from 2005 to 2008. It is available with a range of I6, V8, and V12 engines that displaced 3.0 to 6.0 liters. The long-wheelbase version of the E65 uses the E66 model code.
The more powerful engine options were largely carried over from the pre-facelift model, though the I6 model now featured the N52 engine, which has since proven to be a great motor both in terms of its characteristics and in terms of reliability.
BMW has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the E65 still uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
