Product Overview

Chevrolet Impala 9 is an affordable large sedan in production from 2006 to 2013, whereupon it became a fleet-only model (for the rental car market) as "Impala Limited". It is available with a range of V6 and V8 engines that displaced 3.5L to 5.3L.
Owners will probably enjoy the small block OHV V8 the most, which is smoother than smaller engines and comes with an exhaust note that is sure to please. Unfortunately, it was one of the last transversely-mounted V8s for FWD vehicles and disappeared from the lineup mid-cycle. The good news is that later LS, LT, and LTZ models came with a 3.6L V6 that had roughly the same power output (albeit with notably less torque).
The Impala Gen9 was the quintessential "rental car" and police car. Many might have purchased them used, and some had good values.
