Product Overview

Leica X-U (Typ 113) is a high-end APS-C compact camera with a prime lens. Introduced by Leica in 2016, it comes with an APS-C sensor with 16 MP (4928 x 3264) resolution.
The camera has a usable battery life, though a second battery may be a good thing to keep in your camera bag. The X-U's 5.0 fps burst rate limits its use for certain types of photography, but it is hardly something that most photographers should worry about.
The Leica X-U comes with a fully articulated display and 11 autofocus points. Interestingly, Leica has endowed this compact camera with a prime lens, which appeals to a distinctly different set of consumers than the usual point-and-shoot users.
