Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III is a good pocket camera with a big 1-inch sensor. Its lens covers a 24-120mm f/1.8-2.8 range. The camera is just a little bit larger all around, but shares the same basic design and interface as the G7.
Pros
  • Bright f/1.8-2.8 lens
  • 4K video
  • USB Type-C charging
Cons
  • No headphone jack
  • No 4K video option

Reviewer score 44% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III is good for landscape photography. Its image quality is good, ensuring most images remain sharp and free of visual noise. It has a great screen that you can flip up to face you when the camera is pointed at you. It's exceptionally portable, and footage taken while walking should remain smooth and stable. However, its battery performance is poor and frequently causes the camera to shut down.
Pros
  • Outstandingly high continuous shooting speed
  • Excellent image quality
  • Outstanding performance
  • Great screen
  • Well-built and comfortable to use and hold
  • Incredibly portable and easy to use
Cons
  • Lacks a headphone or microphone jack
  • Poor video quality in 4k and FHD
  • Bad autofocus performance

Reviewers from techradar have found:
Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III is a very capable all-rounder camera. It's capable of a range of features, from speedy burst shooting to EOS-style control. While it falls behind some of its Sony RX100-series rivals in a few areas – the lack of an EVF, and its more basic AF system, for example.
Pros
  • Very good image quality
  • 30fps Raw Burst mode
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No hotshoe
  • No EVF
