Product Overview

Sony RX100 III is a entry-level 1″ compact camera. Introduced by Sony in 2014, it comes with a 1" sensor with 20 MP (5472 x 3648) resolution and a 1.44 million-dot EVF.
The camera has a poor battery life, and a second or third battery may be needed to get you through the day. One should note that the DSC-RX100 III has a 125 base ISO, which is not conducive to getting the cleanest images. The 10.0 fps burst rate serves enthusiasts well enough, though some professionals may find it limiting.
The Sony RX100 III comes with 25 autofocus points. Last but not least, the camera can focus quite close to the subject.

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cameralabs have found:
Sony's RX100 III is the latest in its popular compact-with-a-big-sensor series. Like the earlier models, it is equipped with a 20 Megapixel 1in sensor that has about four times the area of a typical phone or point-and-shoot camera. The lens on the new model is 24-70mm f1.8-2.8 compared to 28-100mm on the Mark II. There's also a built-in filter for 1080p, a screen that can round to face the subject for selfies and support for downloadable apps.
Pros
  • Bigger and brighter than the RX100 II
  • Improved electronic viewfinder
  • Great battery life
Cons
  • Smaller and heavier than the Mark II
