Product Overview

Sony RX10 III is a 1″ compact camera with a large zoom range. Introduced by Sony in 2016, it comes with a 1" sensor with 20 MP (5472 x 3648) resolution and a 2.36 million-dot EVF.
The camera has a usable battery life, though a second battery may be a good thing to keep in your camera bag. The 14.0 fps burst rate serves enthusiasts well enough, though some professionals may find it limiting.
The RX10 III comes with 25 autofocus points. Sony has endowed this compact camera with a 25x zoom lens, which can be quite useful for travels. Last but not least, the camera can focus quite close to the subject.

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cameralabs have found:
The Sony RX10 III is an update to Sony's high-end Bridge Super-zoom. It retains the RX10 II's 1 inch 20 Megapixel sensor, 4k video, super-slow motion modes, electronic viewfinder and its flip-up 3-inch screen. What's new is the lens, which now extends to triple the reach of the earlier RX10II with an equivalent range of 24-600mm. Sony’s apps aren't always accessed or adjusted in an intuitive manner.
Pros
  • 4k video
  • Super-slow motion modes
  • Fully articulated ring
  • In-camera Smart Remote
Cons
  • No touch-screen
  • Can’t trigger movies using Smart Remote
