Product Overview

Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ1000 II is a 1″ compact camera with a large zoom range. Introduced by Panasonic in 2019, it comes with a 1" sensor with 20 MP (5472 x 3648) resolution and a 2.36 million-dot EVF.
The camera has a usable battery life, though a second battery may be a good thing to keep in your camera bag. One should note that the Lumix DC-FZ1000 II has a 125 base ISO, which is not conducive to getting the cleanest images. The 12.0 fps burst rate serves enthusiasts well enough, though some professionals may find it limiting.
The DC-FZ1000 II comes with a fully articulated touch display and 49 autofocus points. Panasonic has endowed this compact camera with a 16x zoom lens, which can be quite useful for travels. Last but not least, the camera can focus quite close to the subject.

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The 25-400mm lens delivers performance that's consistent through much of its zoom range. The 1-inch 20MP BSI CMOS sensor inside is the same Sony-made chip used by its rivals. The FZ1000 II supports 4K UHD capture at 24 or 30fps, and is able to roll at 60fps if you drop to 1080p.
Pros
  • Excellent zoom performance
  • Excellent image quality
  • 5.1-inch BSI CMOS sensor
  • 4K UHD video
Cons
  • No weather protection
