Olympus Tough TG-870 is an affordable 1/2.3" compact camera. Introduced by Olympus in 2016, it comes with a 1/2.3" sensor with 16 MP (4608 x 3456) resolution.

The camera has a poor battery life, and a second or third battery may be needed to get you through the day. One should note that the Olympus Tough TG-870 has a 125 base ISO, which is not conducive to getting the cleanest images. The Olympus Tough TG-870's 7.0 fps burst rate limits its use for certain types of photography, but it is hardly something that most photographers should worry about.

The Olympus Tough TG-870 comes with a built-in GPS. Last but not least, the camera can focus quite close to the subject.
