Product Overview

Sigma SD1 Merrill is a unique high-end DSLR in the Sigma SA-mount system. Introduced by Sigma in 2012, it comes with an APS-C-sized Foveon sensor with 45 MP (4800 x 3200) resolution.
Unlike conventional Bayer sensors, the Foveon sensor of the SD1 Merrill has three layers of 15 MP sensors stacked on top of each other. This setup enables the SD1 Merrill to offer exceptional chromatic resolution.
