Product Overview
HD Pentax DA 35mm F2.8 Macro Limited is a normal prime lens for Pentax K-mount. It covers the APS-C image circle. Introduced by Pentax in 2013, it has 9 elements in 8 groups.
The 1x magnification opens up a lot of opportunity for macro shots. A normal prime lens, the HD Pentax DA 35mm F2.8 Macro Limited does not boast the brightest apertures, though it still may be worth a try for landscape and street photography.

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)Pentax HD is much smaller and lighter than its Tokina cousin. It has a metal outer shell, that seems very precisely put together. It even comes with a beautifully made Leica style push on lens cap. It's very sharp across the field (not extremely flat near the outer areas of FF, but for macro that matters not at all unless you are photographing documents)
Pros
- Very sharp across the field
- Excellent build quality
- Good colour correction
Cons
- Very strong flare
- No aperture ring
