Voigtlander Nokton 58mm F1.4 SL II is a large-aperture manual-focus normal prime lens for Nikon F-mount and Pentax K-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Voigtlander in 2007, it has 7 elements in 6 groups.
Manual focus may be limiting to some, but purists will find it much more engaging. There are also fewer things to go wrong on the long run. Unfortunately, Voigtlander has opted to omit weather sealing for this lens, so owners should pay extra attention when shooting in incremental weathers.
A normal prime lens, the Nokton 58mm F1.4 SL II has the potential to be one of the most used and ultimately versatile option in a photographer's bag.
