Product Overview

Zeiss Milvus 35mm F1.4 is a high-end large-aperture manual-focus wide-angle prime lens for Canon EF-mount and Nikon F-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Zeiss in 2017, it has 14 elements in 11 groups.
Manual focus may be limiting to some, but purists will find it much more engaging. There are also fewer things to go wrong on the long run. For incremental weathers, Zeiss is kind enough to include weather sealing.
The bright maximum aperture for a wide-angle lens is appreciated for night photography, though some may prefer the perspective of an ultra wide-angle lens for this. Even though the lens is not stabilized, at this focal range it does not usually matter. In fact, some may be able to get cleaner corners without image stabilization.
