Zeiss Loxia 50mm F2 Planar
Full-Frame LensProduct Gallery
Product Overview
Zeiss Loxia 50mm F2 Planar is a manual-focus normal prime lens for Sony E-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Zeiss in 2014, it has 6 elements in 4 groups.
Manual focus may be limiting to some, but purists will find it much more engaging. There are also fewer things to go wrong on the long run. To this end, the Loxia boasts some of the smoothest focus ring ever found on a photographic lens.
A normal prime lens, the Zeiss Loxia 50mm F2 does not boast the brightest apertures, though it still may be worth a try for landscape and street photography.
