Product Overview

Samsung The Frame LS03R is a unique 4K QLED TV in Samsung's 2019 lineup. It is powered by a basic 8-bit VA panel and available in 43", 49", 55", and 65" size classes.
A highlight of the Samsung LS03R is a high screen-to-body ratio up to 95.12%. Additionally, it supports HDR formats including HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma). It covers 100% of DCI-P3 color space, which is excellent news for those who appreciate color accuracy. Owners who consider using this TV for gaming will be pleased to learn that it supports AMD FreeSync in terms of variable framerate.
In terms of drawbacks, the 8-bit panel is rather limiting in terms of image quality.

Reviewer score 60% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Frame 2019 is a decent TV for mixed use. It gets fairly bright and handles reflections well, so watching TV shows or sports in a bright room isn't an issue. Unfortunately, the image degrades when viewed from the side but, on the upside, this TV has excellent gaming features. It delivers deep blacks in a dark room, despite the lack of a local dimming feature.
Pros
  • Very low input lag
  • Good reflection handling
  • Great SDR peak brightness
  • Excellent gaming features
Cons
  • Image degrades at an angle
  • No local dimming feature
