Reviewer score 29% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
, and right buttons feel the same as the surrounding menu and service buttons, requiring you to look down at the remote to navigate any menu. The RU7100 failed to impress with its contrast and color performance. In Movie mode, the TV shows an input lag of 61.3 milliseconds when testing with an HDFury 4K Diva HDMI matrix.
Pros
  • Solid picture quality
  • Supports AirPlay 2 and voice assistant controls
  • Comfortable stand
Cons
  • Mediocre contrast
  • Disappointing input lag

rtings[2]

Reviewer score 35% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
This is a good TV for mixed usage. It's more suitable for darker rooms as it can't get very bright to overcome glare. It has a low input lag that makes it very responsive, but you have to sit straight in front to enjoy the most accurate image. Unfortunately, it can not remove 24p judder from any source.
Pros
  • Excellent native contrast ratio
  • Low input lag
  • Good reflection handling
  • Great response time
Cons
  • Can't get very bright
  • Doesn't remove 24p judder from any source
  • Poor viewing angles

tomsguide[3]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
With edge-lit backlight and no local dimming, the RU7100 offers surprisingly good brightness. It's one of the most responsive sets we've seen all year, and a top choice for gaming. Samsung's basic remote, which comes with the NU7100, is a bit of a mess.
Pros
  • Great picture quality
  • Robust app selection
  • Great sound
Cons
  • No Dolby Vision support
  • Limited HDR performance
