External Reviews
rtings[1]
Reviewer score 38% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Samsung HW-Q60R soundbar will perform quite well with different types of content. Its sound profile is fairly neutral and accurate, although it does lack a bit of sub-bass, which will be noticeable on movies and bass-heavy music. While it does support surround sound content, this soundbar won’t offer the most immersive experience.
Pros
- Great stereo frequency response
- Dialogue enhancement feature
- Decent audio reproduction
Cons
- No Atmos and height channels
- Bass isn’t that extended
techradar[2]
Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Q60R is a good pick for gamers who prefer responsiveness over visual quality. Most of the time the sound is middling in terms of richness, soundstage and tonal balance. This isn't the most musically inclined TV we've ever heard, nor is it the best-suited to make a movie's soundtrack come to life. While it lacks many of Samsung's coolest tricks like AI Sound, the TCL 6-Series is still one of our favorite mid-range 4K HDR TVs.
Pros
- Excellent picture quality
- AI-controlled Intelligent Audio feature
- Good motion handling
Cons
- Lackluster black levels
- No Dolby Vision
