    Reviewers from cnet have found:
LG's webOS menu system feels nice and snappy, but it's basically unchanged from last year. The remote lets you speak to, and hear from, two voice assistants. There's a new A9 Gen 2 chip with a "deep learning algorithm" that, among other claims, better adjusts the picture for room lighting.
    Pros
    • Excellent picture quality
    • Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos
    • Smart TV with webOS system
    Cons
    • Limited app support
    • No HDMI 2.1 support

    Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
LG's C9 OLED is one of the finest TVs you can buy, made even more compelling by its future-proofing features such as HDMI 2.1 and WiSA compatibility. While it isn't available yet, the C9 will soon support Apple AirPlay2 and HomeKit. Sony's Master Series A9G 4K HDR is the better alternative if you're seeking the best image quality.
    Pros
    • Outstanding color accuracy
    • Excellent black levels and contrast
    • Excellent picture quality
    Cons
    • No HDMI 2.1 or WiSA support

    Reviewers from pcmag have found:
LG's OLEDC9 series of OLED TVs offer a fantastic picture in an incredibly slim frame. It doesn't have the most accurate color out of the box, and is pricey enough that we'd recommend a professional calibration. But even untouched it looks excellent and shows some of the best contrast you can find in a consumer TV.
    Pros
    • Superlative contrast
    • Superb sound quality
    • Excellent color performance
    Cons
    • No Dolby Vision or HDR10 support

    rtings[4]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from rtings have found:
LG C9 OLED is an outstanding TV for most uses, with perfect blacks and wide viewing angles. It has a nearly instantaneous response time, which is important for gaming or use as a PC monitor. Unfortunately, there's a risk of burn-in, and the brightness of the screen changes with different content, which may be distracting.
    Pros
    • Image remains accurate even if you sit up close
    • Outstanding low input lag
    • Excellent wide color gamut
    Cons
    • Disappointing brightness changes with different content
    • No automatic brightness limiter (ABL)

    Reviewers from t3 have found:
LG OLED65C9 takes OLED technology's already winning formula and makes it even better. Its pictures subtly but helpfully refine what's gone before, with the extra HDR impact being especially welcome. The set's sound is also a big improvement over that of its predecessor – provided that you remember to switch in the AI Sound mode. It's not the strongest OLED for brightness, but when it comes to bringing out every shade, it's truly world-class.
    Pros
    • Gorgeous design
    • Beautiful 4K HDR
    • Excellent sound
    Cons
    • No Dolby Atmos

    techradar[6]

    Reviewers from techradar have found:
The LG C9 is a truly exceptional 4K OLED TV that takes what was so impressive about last year's C8 and builds on it. The audio capability of these modern TVs is nothing short of amazing. There's a new One Touch Sound Tuning feature that uses the mic in the remote to analyse the room from your main listening position and set-up the TV accordingly. As with previous years, the C9 supports Dolby Atmos.
    Pros
    • Superb picture quality
    • Dolby Vision and HDR10+
    • AI-enhanced sound
    Cons
    • No HDR 10+ support
    • No Dolby Atmos

    Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The LG C9 OLED is the best TV we've seen in 2019, and it gets our top recommendation for 4K smart TVs. We've already touched on the C9's potent Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor, but it really comes to the forefront with LG's webOS interface and ThinQ AI capabilities. There's also a new tool for smart home devices, called Home Dashboard, which looks to be a great option for any gadget lover.
    Pros
    • Excellent picture quality
    • Dolby Atmos support
    • Sleek design
    Cons
    • Lack of smart features
