Product Overview

LG UP70 is an affordable 4K VA TV in LG's 2021 lineup. It is powered by a basic 8-bit VA panel and available in 43", 50", 55", 65", 70", and 75" size classes.
A highlight of the LG UP70 is a high screen-to-body ratio up to 93.20%. Additionally, it supports HDR formats including HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and HDR10. It performs well in terms of contrast.
In terms of drawbacks, the LG UP70 has a slow 7.0 ms response time. The 8-bit panel is rather limiting in terms of image quality.

rtings[1]

Reviewer score 34% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The LG UP7000 is okay overall. It performs best for watching TV shows, sports, or using it as a PC monitor. Although it may not be bright enough to combat a ton of glare, it still has decent reflection handling. It doesn't have any issues upscaling lower-resolution content, and it removes judder from native 24p sources.
Pros
  • Wide viewing angles
  • Decent reflection handling
  • Low input lag
Cons
  • Low contrast ratio
  • No local dimming feature
  • Doesn't display a wide color gamut
