    Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
U.S. markets are using LG OLED panels, just as Sony is. All these OLED TVs look very good, but they do not look the same. The magic is in picture processing, and Sony has picture processing perfected. The Sony has less judder when displaying 24p movie content.
    Pros
    • Excellent picture quality
    • Full-spec HDMI 2.1 ports
    • Excellent HDR performance
    • Excellent build quality
    Cons

    Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Out of the box, the A9G shows impressive color performance, though not the most immediately accurate. Whites are a bit cool, and secondary colors skew quite a bit. The TV's ability to display perfect blacks and bright whites in the same frame enables plenty of shadow detail to come through.
    Pros
    • Slim, minimalist design
    • Excellent contrast
    • Android Audio with hands-free Google Assistant voice commands
    Cons
    • No HDR10 support

    Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Sony A9G is an excellent TV for most uses, whether it's for watching HDR movies or for use as a PC monitor. It has remarkable dark room performance and its exceptional motion handling results in clear images with nearly no visible motion blur. Its low input lag and 120Hz refresh rate provide a responsive gaming experience, but unfortunately, it doesn't support any VRR technology.
    Pros
    • Extremely fast response time
    • Excellent wide viewing angles
    • Outstanding motion handling performance
    • Superb low input lag
    • High refresh rate
    • Incredible wide viewing angle
    • Exceptional fast response tim
    Cons
    • No VRR support
    • No FreeSync variable refresh rate support

Reviewer score 91% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from techradar have found:
Sony A9G/AG9 is a 4K UHD screen with Dolby Vision and HLG support. Brightness peaks at 750cd/m2 (aka nits) with a standard 10% HDR measurement window. Sony's Motionflow XR processor is available in Auto and Custom modes. Soundstage isn't as wide as you might get from a separate soundbar.
    Pros
    • Fantastic picture quality
    • Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support
    • Impressive HDR performance
    Cons
    • No Dolby Vision support

    Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Sony Master Series A9G OLED TV is not only an excellent smart TV; it's also the best-looking, best-sounding TV on the market. The OLED display is superb, with rich color and deep blacks, excellent HDR support, and great overall performance. The big downside is the price, which is dramatically higher than those for competing premium 4K TVs.
    Pros
    • Gorgeous OLED display
    • Excellent sound quality
    • Excellent remote control
    Cons
    • No HDR10 support
