Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Sony A8G looks very good and offers plenty of features thanks to Android TV. At $2,500 for 65 inches, it's one of the most economical OLED models you can get. Its brightness and color performance lag a bit behind LG's OLED C9P series, however.
    Pros
    • Low input lag
    • Excellent picture quality
    • Android TV
    Cons
    • Lacks hands-free Google Assistant

    rtings[2]

Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Sony A8G OLED is an excellent TV for almost any usage. It has great viewing angles and outstanding reflection handling, so it looks great in almost any room. Like all OLEDs, though, it truly shines in a dark room, thanks to perfect, uniform blacks. Fast-moving objects in games and movies look great, due to the nearly-instantaneous response time.
    Pros
    • Outstanding reflection handling
    • Excellent black uniformity
    • Great upscaling performance
    Cons
    • High input lag
    • Doesn't support FreeSync

    techradar[3]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from techradar have found:
The A8G/AG8 uses Sony's Acoustic Surface Audio technology instead of traditional down-firing speakers to add sound to its excellent picture performance. Sony remains the king of upscaling - taking old DVD HD/SDR footage and making it look modern - and always impresses with its natural visuals and frame-perfect motion handling. LG's B9 and C9 OLED TVs use the same exact panels with a slightly different processor, exterior and speaker design and WebOS instead of Android TV.
    Pros
    • Excellent picture quality
    • Excellent upscaling
    • Excellent motion handling
    Cons
    • No Netflix Calibrated Mode
    • No remote control
