Product Overview

NEC MultiSync E172M is an affordable 17-inch SXGA monitor designed for business use in NEC's 2020 lineup. It is powered by a basic 8-bit TN panel with a unique, SXGA resolution that reminds us of the 1990s.

The included stand comes with tilt and height adjustments that make for a more ergonomic viewing experience. Additionally, this monitor can get quite contrasty. It also comes with build-in speakers.

In terms of drawbacks, this monitor lacks HDR support and is not very bright. Further, the 8-bit panel is rather limiting in terms of color reproduction.
