Product Overview

Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 is a more affordable alternative to the S-line cousin that Nikon has already on the market. It is inspired by the success of Tamron's 28-75mm zoom lens and joins the more recent Sigma 28-70mm.
An important difference from the aforementioned lenses is that the Z 28-75mm f/2.8, being a first-party lens, is marketed at a premium. Still, it is at half the MSRP of the professional-grade Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S. Build-wise, it is comparable to the Tamron in grade and notably less premium than the Sigma, a point that is hardly surprising.
Seeing that Nikon (alongside Canon) has not opened its new Z-mount to the competition of third-party lens makers, price-sensitive enthusiasts who wish for f/2.8 maximum aperture and can live with 28mm as the widest focal length may find this lens an interesting choice.

Reviewers from cameralabs have found:
The Nikon Z 28-75mm f2.8 offers a good feature set including full weather sealing, fluorine-coating, multi function ring, and a low weight and very reasonable price. The only really critical point may be that the zoom starts at 28mm which gives a 9 degrees narrower angle of view than lenses starting at 24mm. But all-in-all I think Nikon has put a very interesting proposition in the market. Check back for my full review when the lens becomes available.
