External Reviews
rtings[1]
Reviewer score 28% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MSI Optix G27C4 is a decent monitor for most uses, but its 1080p resolution is a bit low for a 27 inch screen. It's a great gaming monitor, though, as it has a 165Hz refresh rate, excellent response time, and a low input lag to provide a smooth and responsive gaming experience. Viewing angles are rather poor, and the monitor's bad ergonomics make it hard to adjust to your optimal viewing position.
Pros
- High refresh rate
- Excellent response time
- Low input lag
- Good reflection handling
Cons
- Low peak brightness
- Mediocre viewing angles

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)There are no internal speakers, but you get a headphone jack on the input panel. At FHD resolution, the Windows desktop suffered a bit with visible jaggies in some photos. While an sRGB mode would have been nice for the pickier videophiles, the G27C4's wide color gamut certainly looks lush.
Pros
- Wide color gamut
- Excellent contrast and color reproduction
- Excellent build quality
Cons
- No sRGB mode
- No RGB lighting
