Product Overview

LG 32GN650 UltraGear is a mid-range 32-inch QHD gaming monitor based on the 32GN600, on which LG has thrown in a more useful monitor stand with not only tilt but also height and pivot adjustments.
Like the more affordable 32GN500, and indeed the 32GN600, the 32GN650 uses an 8-bit VA panel that nonetheless covers 95% sRGB color space. It is able to refresh at up to 165Hz with 1ms response time (MBR). Contrast and brightness are also quite good on this monitor, making it a good option for video playback and general computing tasks.
Perhaps the only area where one may find a bit difficulty with this monitor is in color-critical tasks. Still, for casual photo and video editing at home, it may just be enough, too.
One should note that the smaller "GN650" models, 24GN650 and 27GN650, are FHD-only and not really priced lower. They do, however, use IPS panels.

rtings[1]

Reviewer score 32% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The LG 32GN650-B is good for mixed usage. It's intended to be a gaming monitor, with a high refresh rate, fast response time, and low input lag. At 32 inches, it's a good size for multitasking, allowing you to open two windows side-by-side. It has poor viewing angles, so the image loses accuracy from the side, and its ergonomic adjustment options are limited.
Pros
  • Large screen size and 1440p resolution
  • Low input lag
  • Great contrast ratio
  • Wide color gamut
Cons
  • Poor viewing angles
  • Doesn't get bright enough to bring out highlights in HDR content
