Product Overview

LG 32GN550 UltraGear is a variation of the 32GN500, which is an affordable 32-inch FHD gaming monitor in LG's 2020 ("N") model year. It differs from the latter in having a stand that includes not only tilt but also height and pivot adjustments; the main display unit is exactly the same.

Like the 32GN500, the 32GN550 uses an 8-bit VA panel with 95% sRGB coverage that refreshes at 165Hz, while its downside lies in the FHD resolution. It has good compatibility with both G-Sync and FreeSync support as well as 1ms (MBR) response time, making it an interesting choice for those who only game at FHD.

The VA panel that it uses, while not the preferred choice for color-critical tasks, is more contrasty than IPS units, too.

Those who plan on gaming at a higher resolution can find more premium models in LG's "N" model year. A smaller, 27-inch model from 2019, 27GL650F, has similar specifications and may be an alternative for those with tighter desktop spaces.
