Product Overview

LG 32UN550 is a variation of the 32UN500, which is a 32-inch 4K UHD monitor with a 10-bit VA panel. In fact, it differs from the latter only in the included monitor stand: LG supplies a more useful stand that includes not only tilt but also height adjustment. Unfortunately, pivot and swivel are out of the picture.
In all other regards, the 32UN550 is a carbon copy of the 32UN500. This means 90% DCI-P3 coverage, which is good but still a step down from the previous-gen model. Brightness is maxed out at 350 nits, while refresh rate reaches 75Hz at the upper bound.
If you want and need that monitor stand with height adjustment, the 32UN550 is an interesting choice, being one of the more affordable 4K options in the 32-inch class. Those who want IPS, however, need to pay up for the more premium models.
