Product Overview

Bang & Olufsen Beolab 28 is the most advanced wireless loudspeaker by the premium Danish marque. It is clearly a sequel to the Beolab 18, which came onto the market the better half of a decade ago. A unique design feature of the Beolab 28 is that two versions are available: a floorstanding one and a wall-mount version. They share the same specifications.

The Beolab 28 is exceptionally elegant and slender; the main speaker unit forms a cylindrical shape and measures just over 120mm (5") in diameter. As is usually the case with B&O products, the Beolab 28 is built with premium materials and have the heft to prove it.

With its unconventional form, the Beolab 28 places its single 6.5" woofer in the base section. On the wall-mount version, the woofer is front-firing; on the floorstanding version, it is up-firing. The main unit is covered by wooden external covers that slide open when the speaker is turned on, providing a theatre that enhances the experience of the occasion.

Sold in pairs (in a stereo setup), the Beolab 28 offers a combined output of 1250W. It supports the latest wired and wireless connection options (except HDMI) as well as HD audio streaming services.

As B&O has yet to release a successor to the Beolab 19. One may consider pairing it with the Beolab 28 as an external subwoofer, though the Beolab 28 already has the aforementioned 6.5" woofer built in.
