Product Overview

Bang & Olufsen Beolit 20 is an elegant yet powerful wireless speaker that can be carried around, thanks to its wide, vegetable-tanned leather strap. Crafted out of anodized aluminum and plastic, the Beolit 20 is the 4th iteration of B&O's wireless speaker in a similar design (Beolit 17 being its predecessor).
The Beolit 20 has a two-way, passive radiator setup with three full-range drivers and a single woofer aided by a pair of passive radiators. As it is the case with B&O's other portable wireless speakers, the Beolit 20 aims to provide a 360-degree sound coverage. Among them, it is the model with the best low-end extension (though it bottoms out at 37Hz).
Other unique features include the integration of a new wireless charging pad on the top cover of the Beolit 20 as well as the inclusion of a 3.5mm AUX-in option.
The Beolit 20 is joined by "sportier" portable speakers Beosound Explore and A1 GEN2 in the lineup.

pcmag[1]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Bang & Olufsen's Beolit 20 has a sculpted sound signature with full-bodied, rich lows that sound great on drums and electric bass. The DSP (digital signal processing) makes sure that things never get distorted at top volumes. Tweaking the sound signature to taste in the app is also possible, but without actual bands to adjust, it can get a bit cumbersome.
Pros
  • Powerful bass depth matched with crisp highs
  • Sculpted sound signature
  • Easy-to-use app
Cons
  • Can get loud for its size

trustedreviews[2]

Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
Much of the Beolit 20’s functionality is tucked away in the Bang & Olufsen app. Energetic sounded good and Bright was decent, but Relaxed and Warm underwhelmed. Higher volumes seem suited to outdoor use, while lower volumes are more in tune with an indoor setting. There isn’t much width to the soundstage, which makes music compact at the best of times.
Pros
  • Gorgeous, detailed sound
  • Impressive battery life
  • Easy to use app
Cons
  • No Wi-Fi
