Product Overview

Bose SoundLink Revolve II is a stylish wireless speaker designed primarily for home use, even though it comes with IP55 water and dust resistance rating. Like its predecessor, the SoundLink Revolve II is a 360-degree speaker that promises to provide a uniform coverage, allowing the listener to move around without the "sweet spot" effect.
To achieve this, Bose uses a single full-range driver that fires downwards towards an acoustic deflector at the bottom of the case. The driver is paired with two passive radiators.
This, together with its weather resistant build, makes the SoundLink Revolve II an interesting choice for listening around the house as well as partying by the pool. Thanks to Bose SimpleSync technology, the Revolve II can be paired with the Bose Home Speaker.
As is the case with other Bose wireless speakers, the SoundLink Revolve II comes with a microphone that affords the own hands-free functionality. The Revolve II can be purchased with an optional charging cradle that allows for charging without plugs.
Bose also introduced a larger model of essentially the same speaker, named Revolve+ II.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve II has excellent directivity thanks to its 360-degree design. It has a neutral sound profile suitable for listening to a wide variety of music. Its relatively balanced mid-range ensures vocals and lead instruments sound clear. However, it lacks low bass, so you can't hear the deep thump and rumble in bass-heavy music like hip-hop or EDM.
Pros
  • Excellent directivity
  • Wide and spacious soundstage
  • Very good battery performance
  • Outstandingly portable
  • Great directivity, especially for dialogue-heavy audio content
  • Well-built, portable design
  • Incredibly portable, and well-built
Cons
  • Doesn't get very loud
  • Some compression artifacts at max volume
  • No sound customization features
  • Lacks low bass
  • Can't hear deep thump and rumble often present in action-packed scenes

Battery life is something Bose has improved from the original model, with up to 13 hours of playback.
Pros
  • Excellent 360-degree sound
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • No digital EQ
