Product Overview

Fujifilm instax Link WIDE is a smartphone photo printer that is essentially half of a digital instant camera: It uses OLED lighting to expose the instax WIDE Instant Film; the image can be sourced via Bluetooth from a smart device.
The instax Link WIDE is called "wide" because it uses Fujifilm's WIDE instant film, which is also used by the instax WIDE 300 instant camera. It is the widest instant film that Fuji is marketing today.
Essentially, this allows the owner to take photos with their smartphones, select the photos that they would keep, make necessary edits, and then print them out with the printer. While somewhat less "organic" a process, it makes taking instant photos less unpredictable.
Alongside the instax Link WIDE, Fujifilm also introduced the instax WIDE Black instant film. This film has a black frame that some photographers may prefer over the white original.

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Fujifilm's Instax Link Wide is the first printer to support the company's largest film format. The Wide format is more useful for collages than the Instax Mini or Square film formats. The app has several features that should appeal to the younger set, but are lost on this geriatric millennial photographer.
Pros
  • Prints instant film directly from your camera roll
  • Quick, easy-to-use app
  • Supports Instax Mini and Square film formats
Cons
  • Bulky and bulky
  • Poor color reproduction

The new Instax Link Wide app for iOS and Android is really the heart of the Instax Wide printer. There are three printing options beyond what the app calls "Simple Print" There are also dozens of premade, customizable templates if you'd like to add text in a heart or a sidebar.
Pros
  • Large prints
  • Easy to use
  • Prints side-by-side collages
Cons
  • Not gallery-worthy
