Product Overview

LG XBOOM Go PL5 is an affordable Bluetooth speaker in LG's PL-series wireless speakers unveiled in 2020. Like its bigger brother, the PL7, the PL5 has a simple setup with two full-range drivers paired to two side-firing passive radiators.
Like the PL7, the XBOOM Go PL5 also has RGB lighting feature on its passive radiators. IPX5 water resistance is carried over, too. However, PL5's battery life is reduced to 18 hours as a tradeoff for a lower-wattage internal battery. The drivers are also quite small, leaving questions on its ability to reproduce low-frequency sounds with good fidelity.
Per usual, up to 100 LG wireless speakers can form a Wireless Party Link for large parties, while two PL5s can be paired into a stereo system.
For those who want a pocket-sized wireless speaker, the PL2 rounds up the series.
