Product Overview
LG RN5 is an entry-level party speaker in the XBOOM lineup. Designed primarily for indoor parties, it does not come with a battery. Owners can pair two RN5s to form a stereo setup.
The LG RN5 has a simple 2-way bass reflex setup with two 2" tweeters and a single 8" woofer. It supports basic RGB lighting in the form of speaker lights around the woofer. Control can be made with the top panel or via smartphone. Naturally, the RN5 has karaoke function and supports a range of digital audio playbacks.
An interesting use case for the RN5 is as a guitar speaker, thanks to the inclusion of a 6.3mm guitar port and powerful internal drivers. Two of them can be used with an LG TV as a more powerful alternative to sound bars.
Alongside the RN5, LG also introduced the
RN7, which was later joined by the
RN9. These two progressively add power and features to the RN5.
