Lenovo ThinkPad T15p GEN 2 15.6" Laptop (2021)

Lenovo ThinkPad T15p GEN 2 can be considered the non-workstation variant of the P15v GEN 2 in the 2021 ThinkPad lineup. A 15.6-inch laptop that prioritizes power over portability, it is part of the spectrum from the light and compact T15 GEN 2 and the full-featured P15 GEN 2 workstation.

The T15p GEN 2 uses 11th-gen Intel Tiger Lake H-series processes with optional NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics. It can be configured with either a standard FHD display or a 4K unit with 100% Adobe RGB coverage. Expansion- and I/O-wise, the T15p GEN 2 is what we have come to expect from a ThinkPad. That is to say that it has dual SO-DIMMs supporting up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, dual M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD slots, Thunderbolt 4, full-size HDMI, Ethernet, WiFi 6, and optional 4G LTE WWAN.

In essence, the T15p GEN 2 differs from the T15 GEN 2 primarily in that it uses H-series Tiger Lake processors with 6 or 8 cores, while the more compact T15 G2 uses low-powered chips with up to 4 cores.

By further segmenting the business laptop market, Lenovo now offers the largest lineup targeted at professionals. There is no model from its main competitors such as HP and Dell that correspond with the T15p GEN 2 today.
