HP Elite Folio 13.5"
2-in-1Product Gallery
Product Overview
HP Elite Folio is a premium 13.5-inch 2-in-1 convertible laptop powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 5G processor. Compared to the Dragonfly models with traditional x64 processors, it is further optimized for mobile computing.
Another key selling point of the Elite Folio is its adoption of the 3:2 aspect ratio, with two display panels up to 1000nits available. This display is put on a unique hinge design that some users may find preferable to conventional 2-in-1s.
Naturally, both 4G LTE and 5G WWANs are available, with a programmable eSIM pre-installed and a nano SIM slot available.

digitaltrends[1]
Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Elite Folio lasts longer than your average Intel-based laptop, but it's far from being the longest-lasting among the other Snapdragon-based laptops we've tested. The Spectre Folio was a standout machine when it was introduced in 2018. You'll just have to give up the pull-forward design and the vegan leather. The HP Spectre x360 14 is a superior 2-in-1 in terms of performance.
Pros
- Excellent build quality
- Excellent keyboard and pen
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- Slow processor
- Limited application compatibility
laptopmag[2]
Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Elite Folio is optimal for on-the-go business users with light productivity. On the file-transfer test, the HP's 256GB SSD duplicated 25GB of multimedia files at a rate of 666.5 megabytes per second. The 720p webcam is housed on the top bezel, and there's nothing special about it.
Pros
- Sleek, lightweight design
- Long battery life
- Strong performance
Cons
- Poor webcam quality
pcmag[3]
Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)The 5.5-inch Wacom AES 2.0 pen has two programmable buttons on its side and one on its top. It features 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, plus tilt support. Quad speakers crank out fairly loud, vivid sound, perhaps a bit hollow but not tinny.
Pros
- Sleek, stylish design
- Excellent battery life
- Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
Cons
- No 4G or 5G connectivity
- No keyboard backlighting
t3[4]
Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Elite Folio is a smart, sleek laptop that won't look out of place in a business meeting. It has a long battery, an included stylus for quick note-taking and 5G connectivity. The 13.5-inch display is a goo size and has an aspect ratio of 3:2. Packing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 5G processor along with Wi-Fi 6 means you can get speedy internet connectivity anywhere.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Slim Pen included
- Good battery life
Cons
- Not the fastest PC
- Not the most accurate pen
theverge[5]
Reviewer score 55% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Elite Folio can only access Photoshop, Lightroom, and Acrobat DC from the Creative Cloud desktop app. When it comes to general office use, the Folio was functional but certainly a step-down from the best similarly priced Intel and AMD laptops. Using it as my primary driver with the screen at medium brightness, I averaged eight hours and 15 minutes.
Pros
- Beautiful and unique form factor
- Lightweight and portable
- Good battery life
Cons
- Lackluster performance
- No Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, Adobe Illustrator, or Illustrator
tomshardware[6]
Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Elite Folio lasts 15 hours and 21 minutes on our battery life test. The fanless system was quiet and kept very cool. There is a physical webcam privacy switch, which covers the camera. HP has limited the amount of software it includes on this laptop, which is a benefit.
Pros
- Full-sized, full-size keyboard
- Long battery life
- Slim Pen
Cons
- No Windows 10 Home or Mac apps
- No webcam privacy switch
