HP Pavilion 14-dv100 14"
LaptopProduct Gallery
Product Overview
HP Pavilion 14-dv1000 is an incremental update to the 14-dv000 from late 2020. Like the latter, it is a 14-inch consumer-grade laptop powered by 11th-gen Intel Tiger Lake low-powered processors, though in this case the specific processors are clocked higher.
In other aspects, the Pavilion 14-dv1000 resembles the Pavilion 15t-eg100, which offers similar incremental updates, except that the 14-inch model loses access to the optional discrete graphics. To sum it up, the 14-dv1000 drops the TN HD display option besides the chip refresh. Otherwise, the Pavilion 14-dv1000 does not offer much more than its predecessor.
Overall, the 2021 Pavilion 14 is a sleek laptop with decent performance in a rather portable package. At the same time, HP is also marketing an AMD-powered Pavilion 14 for a lot less, which is perhaps a more attractive option for price-sensitive consumers.

External Reviews
notebookcheck[1]
Reviewer score 57% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Pavilion 14-dv0357ng has a simple exterior; its white display cover imparts a certain elegance. The keyboard is comfortable and includes backlighting. The display's values are slightly above average (except for the meager contrast ratio). Performance is very well suited to most everyday needs. The slow connection ports and small battery could be an issue for some users.
Pros
- Decent performance
- Good battery life
- Decent keyboard

Cons
- Slow Wi-Fi
- No Thunderbolt 3
- Slow SoC

Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Pavilion 14 boasts a 14-inch LED display that provides 1080p Full HD. It's a good size for opening multiple windows and placing them side by side. It provides a crisp and clear picture, with deep blacks and accurate colour reproduction. And here's the real kicker: the audio is fantastic. Normally for a laptop at this price, you'd get a tinny sound.
Pros
- Gorgeous design
- Great sound
- Great battery life
Cons
- Nothing in particular
techadvisor[3]
Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Pavilion 14 costs £549.99 and is available to buy directly from the HP Store and Currys PC World. The model I reviewed offers 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor (the latest 11th-gen) Although this is the lowest rung of Intel processors, the laptop was quick to start up and wasn't overwhelmed at any point over weeks of use. It's a silent workhorse that didn't overheat, no matter what I threw at it.
Pros
- Powerful Core i5 processor
- Comfortable keyboard
- Good battery life
Cons
- Dim display
