HP ENVY 17t-ch000 / cn000 is an incremental update to the ENVY 17t-cg100 from late 2020. A sleek 17.3-inch laptop, the 2021 ENVY 17t adds a Thunderbolt 4 port as well as a FHD touch display option; it is otherwise indistinguishable from its predecessor.
Like before, the ENVY 17t-ch000 / cn000 uses 11th-gen Intel Tiger Lake low-powered mobile processors with integrated Intel Xe graphics. There are still two SO-DIMM slots for up to 32GB of configurable memory (though more can be added by the owner), and most common I/O ports are available directly on the device.
Consumers have three display options to choose from, including the aforementioned FHD touch display and a 4K UHD unit, all of which are IPS panels.
As usual with HP, the laptop's naming is confusing. The 17t-cn000 is supposedly targeting a more exclusive clientele, though it is just the 17t-ch000 with the cheaper options removed. For most buyers who do not plan on customizing their own machines directly from HP, they will be looking at pre-configured ENVY 17s sold online or in store with a range of different suffixes.
