Product Overview
Dell G15 5510 is an affordable, mid-range 15.6-inch gaming laptop. Successor to the G5 15 5500 from 2020, the G15 5510 uses a similar FHD IPS display and 10th-gen Intel Comet Lake H-series processors; however, the CPU choice are upgraded here, while NVIDIA's RTX 3000-series GPUs have become freshly available.
At the same time, the change from G5 to G15 is more than an increment in model numbers: Dell has redesigned the laptop, giving it a slimmer profile, narrower bezels, and a more attractive chassis with three exterior choices. The general setup of the I/O options have remained the same, but some ports are upgraded.
Overall, the G15 5510 is a compelling machine for its price. While Dell markets it as a "gaming" device, it is perhaps more suitable for consumers who require occasional power boost.
A couple of interesting competitors to the G15 5510 are Lenovo's Legion 5 and HP's Pavilion Gaming 15. We should also note that Dell has since added Tiger Lake CPU to the same machine and is calling it the G15 5511.
