Product Overview
Apple iPhone 13 Pro is the more powerful sister model of the standard iPhone 13, sharing with the latter the same design elements and many feature sets. It distinguishes itself, however, not only underneath the hood but also up front.
Like its 12th-gen predecessor, the iPhone 13 Pro boasts a stainless steel chassis that feels more premium in the hand and is more robust than that found in the standard model. While the OLED display remains 6.1-inch, the Pro model can refresh its panel at 120Hz with up to 1000 nits brightness.
Inside, Apple has endowed the iPhone 13 Pro with an extra GPU core, further boosting its performance.
Further, the iPhone 13 Pro comes with a LiDAR scanner for VR applications. It also adds a telephoto camera to the dual camera setup found in the standard model.

External Reviews
digitaltrends[1]
Reviewer score 96% (normalized by Neofiliac)The iPhone 13 Pro updates to iOS 15 out of the box. Cinematic mode is a neat effect that adds a movie-like blur to the background. It works best when focusing on faces, but it tends to be hit-and-miss with objects. The phone is currently available on sale for a starting price of $999 in blue, silver, gold, and graphite.
Pros
- Excellent 120Hz screen
- Excellent battery life
- Excellent camera performance
- Fast charging
Cons
- No 3.5mm headphone jack
- No wireless charging
gsmarena[2]
Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac), and they'll also maintain steady footage if you're just pointing the phone in one direction. The telephoto, too, is very well stabilized. It might sound like we're making excuses for the iPhone 13 Pro's flaws, but it's really doing a pretty decent job of building its own defense. Unless the Max's display and endurance make a difference to the way you use your phone, the 13 Pro is the phone to get.
Pros
- Sleek, compact design
- Long battery life
- Great camera system
Cons
- No headphone jack or microSD slot
- No 3.5mm jack
laptopmag[3]
Reviewer score 97% (normalized by Neofiliac)The iPhone 13 Pro runs iOS 15, which is also available for any iPhone going back to the iPhone 6S from 2015. The lack of any meaningful design changes for the iPhone this year is going to cause some to dismiss these phones. It rights the wrongs of the iPhone 12 Pro with almost three additional hours of life, a 120Hz display, and a 120 Hz ProMotion display.
Pros
- Gorgeous 120Hz display
- Great battery life
- Fast charging
Cons
- No 120Hz refresh rate
- No wireless charging
- No 3x optical zoom
notebookcheck[4]
Reviewer score 93% (normalized by Neofiliac)The iPhone 13 Pro’s display could very well be the best smartphone display on the market right now. The 120-Hz OLED panel offers a very high brightness, great colour accurately and DC dimming. At very acute angles the brightness drops slightly and the colours appear a little cooler. This year the Pro models feature the version of the A15 Bionic with a five-core GPU. Our review model comes with 6 GB of RAM (LPDDR4x)
Pros
- 120-Hz OLED display
- Very good battery runtimes
- Fast internal storage
Cons
- No Hi-Res codecs
- No wireless charging
pcmag[5]
Reviewer score 94% (normalized by Neofiliac)The iPhone 13 Pro Max has killer battery life, the best we've seen on any iPhone. iPhone 12 Pro cases don't fit on the 13 Pro because of the significantly bigger camera bump on the back. There's a new macro photography mode, which lets you focus in on objects very close to the camera.
Pros
- Big, bright 120Hz display
- Great battery life
- Great cameras
Cons
- No 5G
- No headphone jack
techradar[6]
Reviewer score 96% (normalized by Neofiliac)The iPhone 13 Pro comes with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. This features the best pixels-per-inch rating of the entire iPhone 13 range at 460ppi. A significant upgrade from Apple here is the introduction of a 120Hz maximum refresh rate. We've found the new screen tech works well so far, but we'll bring you our more considered thoughts in our full review.
Pros
- Fantastic performance
- Great battery life
- Fast charging
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No headphone jack
tomsguide[7]
Reviewer score 91% (normalized by Neofiliac)The iPhone 13 Pro has the best battery life of any new iPhone. The battery life is nearly 3 hours longer than the iPhone 12 Pro. Unfortunately, Apple hasn’t figured out how to include faster charging on this phone. It still uses a Lightning connector instead of USB-C, which even the new iPads use.
Pros
- Beautiful ProMotion display
- Great cameras
- Great battery life
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No headphone jack
