Product Overview

Razer Basilisk V3 is the 2021 iteration of the popular right-handed gaming mouse. It now features a Razer Focus+ optical sensor with 26K DPI maximum resolution as well as 2nd-gen Razer Optical Mouse Switches. This combination allows Razer to push the performance envelop of the new Basilisk even further.
The Basilisk V3 also features Razer's new Hyperscroll Tilt scroll wheel: besides the common Tactile and Free-Spin modes, this scroll wheel can be set to shift between the two automatically, thanks to Razer Synapse software.
Other improvements include more extensive RGB lighting and more on-board memory profiles.
Despite these improvements, the Basilisk V3 comes with a slightly lower MSRP than its predecessor.

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
Razer's Basilisk V3 is a mouse that is fast enough to always keep up with you, the gamer. The Hypershift button is a key directly ahead of your thumb that briefly lowers the DPI when pressed. All the mouse's buttons are fully customizable, and there is a button at the bottom to switch through different profiles.
Pros
  • Sleek, semi-ergonomic design
  • New scroll wheel
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No adjustable resistance from V2

Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Razer Basilisk V3 is a wired mouse with a non-removable cord. The chassis fits well in my hand, and the thumb grip is incredibly comfortable. This version of the Basilisk features the 2nd-Gen Razer optical switches, rated for 70 million clicks.
Pros
  • Sleek, lightweight design
  • Comfortable thumb grip
  • Smart scroll wheel
Cons
  • Slightly stiff buttons
  • No wireless charging

Reviewer score 55% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Razer Basilisk V3 is an amazing mouse for FPS gaming. It feels well-built and has a right-handed shape suitable for all grip types and most hand sizes. It also has a flexible paracord-like cable and mouse feet that glide smoothly on mousepads and desks. Unfortunately, it's heavy and some FPS gamers may prefer a more lightweight option.
Pros
  • Feels well-built and has a right-handed shape suitable for all grip types and most hand sizes
  • Flexible paracord-like cable and mouse feet that glide smoothly on mousepads and desks
  • Very low click latency and minimum lift-off distance
  • Can program all of...
Cons
  • No side buttons
  • Not as many side buttons as a dedicated MMO gaming mouse
  • Only one side button
  • Doesn't connect wirelessly

techradar[4]

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Razer Basilisk V3 has a tilting scroll wheel that can be switched between 'tactile' and 'free-spinning' modes. There are 11 buttons in total, one being located on the underside of the mouse itself to switch between different profiles. You're also getting 26,000 DPI vs the 25,600 DPI in the Logitech G502 Hero, and an AI smart tracking sensor that automatically calibrates itself when you move the mouse.
Pros
  • Comfortable to use
  • Comfortable thumb rest
  • AI smart tracking sensor
Cons
  • No right-hand or ambidextrous orientation
  • No left-hand orientation

tomsguide[5]

Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Razer Basilisk V3 has an automatically adjustable scroll wheel. At 5.1 x 2.4 x 1.7 inches, it fits both big and small hands. Its generalist shape and generous array of buttons complement just about any genre. At $70, it's a little on the pricey side, but I don't have a strong recommendation between the two.
Pros
  • Comfortable to hold
  • Sniper button works well
  • Comfortable scroll wheel
Cons
  • No wireless option
  • No sniper button

tomshardware[6]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
Razer's Basilisk V3 gaming mouse has a lot of programmability. With custom profiles that can auto-launch with apps, you can get game-specific performance. You'll really want to download Razer Synapse to get the most out of the mouse. The scroll wheel is a bit clunky, and occasionally you can feel its wobble.
Pros
  • Lots of programmable buttons and RGB zones
  • Sleek design
  • Lots of customization options
Cons
  • Scroll wheel wobbles
  • Scroll wheel is a bit clunky

trustedreviews[7]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Basilisk V3 is one of the best gaming mice I’ve used in recent times. This is largely thanks to its ludicrously high sensitivity, with 26,000 DPI under the hood. There’s been a slight 10g increase in weight over the V2, with the Basilisk coming in at 101g. The 11 programmable mouse buttons all feel relatively tactile to the touch.
Pros
  • Gorgeous design
  • Stunningly light
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Scroll wheel feels a little cheap
