Samsung Galaxy Watch4

Product Overview
Samsung Galaxy Watch4 is a premium smartwatch with a minimalist design and enhanced feature set. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch4 now features higher-resolution displays in both sizes. While the display diagonals of these two sizes remain the same, the overall watches are physically smaller and lighter.
This generation of Galaxy smartwatches come in two distinct designs. The Watch4 Classic unveiled at the same time carries over the design and material choices of the Galaxy Watch3. The Galaxy Watch4, on the other hand, uses an aluminum case that is markedly lighter. It is also $100 cheaper.
The Galaxy Watch4 features a virtual rotating bezel that allows the user to toggle between widgets, open apps and scroll through notifications. It now has new sensors for more extensive health tracking, including blood pressure, blood oxygen level, and body composition measurements.
The Watch4 boasts up to 40 hours of battery life, which can be extended via fast charging. It is thoroughly water- and dust-proof and is available in multiple colors.

gizmodo[2]
Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Watch 4 starts at $250 while the Classic costs $350. As a health tracker, these watches are capable devices. As always, Samsung's auto workout-tracking for walking remains one of the best in the game. The Watch 4 is going to get you nearly all the same things for $100 less.
Pros
- Sleek, lightweight design
- Excellent battery life
- Accurate sleep-tracking
Cons
- No third-party apps
- Battery life could be better
gsmarena[3]
Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic are the best smartwatches for the general Android user. They have industry-leading processing, display technology, fitness and health tracking and deep integration with Galaxy phones. The Apple Watch has the health and fitness pedigree to rival the Galaxy Watch4 in almost every way. People that use Health regularly should definitely consider this watch.
Pros
- Excellent battery life
- Excellent fitness and health tracking
- Solid build quality
Cons
- Rubber band feels cheap
notebookcheck[4]
Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)Samsung has succeeded well in expanding the health features of the Galaxy Watch4. However, a weak battery life stands in the way of a carefree use of all smartwatch functions. Samsung describes the design of the Exynos W920 as energy-efficient and switches to an additional low-power processor in always-on mode.
Pros
- Long battery life
- Accurate GPS
- Long battery runtime
Cons
- Weak performance in always-on mode
- Short battery life
pcmag[5]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)Samsung Watch4 and Watch4 Classic are the best Android-compatible smartwatches on the market. Starting at $249.99, the Watch4 delivers more apps than previous Samsung watches thanks to the switch to Wear OS. The Watch4 series has a new three-in-one BioActive Sensor, which can not only read your heart rate and take an ECG.
Pros
- Slim bezel
- Accurate body composition and snore-tracking
- Good battery life
Cons
- Wear OS still trails Apple's watchOS
- No Google Assistant
techradar[6]
Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is designed to be a fitness and health device. It comes with a whole host of features, including GPS for tracking runs, an optical heart rate sensor, ECG support and more. Samsung isn't using its familiar Tizen software here, and is re-embracing Wear OS, but with its own spin.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Great fitness features
- Great battery life
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No rotating bezel
theverge[7]
Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)Every smart device now requires you to agree to a series of terms and conditions before you can use it. Samsung Health's privacy policy is not very reassuring. As fitness and health tracking become more important, we're all going to need to do a better job understanding the tradeoffs.
Pros
- Excellent fitness and health tracking
- Good battery life
Cons
- Lacks third-party app integrations
- No Samsung Pay or Samsung Health
tomsguide[8]
Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4's readings did not match my Wyze Scale's. The measurements were as much as 5% off for metics like body fat perfect. As much as I’d like to call the battery life a let down, it’s a far cry from a dealbreaker.
Pros
- Long battery life
- Accurate fitness tracking
- Always-on display
Cons
- Battery life could be longer
wired[9]
Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Watch4 series requires a Samsung phone to unlock its full suite of features. You need to download a few plugins to get the Watch4 fully working, like a Samsung Pay watch plugin. Samsung's watches gave me identical heart rate results when compared with the Apple Watch (resting and active)
Pros
- Sleek design
- Accurate sleep tracking
- Good battery life
Cons
- No support for iOS
- No smartwatch support
